Detailed description

Alternative/complement to Internet Explorer: The application by default uses less memory than Internet Explorer and is excellent for general surfing. It is a good complement to Internet Explore because if a site works better with one or the other browser, you can simply use the correct browser for the site.

Light and open source: Open-source software and tend to use less memory than Internet Explorer.

Can be more secure than Internet Explorer: Generally recognized as having less vulnerabilities and being less of a target for hackers due lower market share and lower profile from being an open source product.

Limitation(s)

  • May not work well with some websites that support exclusively Internet Explorer. Note that there are also sites where Firefox works better than Internet Explorer.
